Here On Earth…
Jesus explains to the disciples, “My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am” (John 14:2-3). Well I believe that he would say the same thing to anyone who follows Him with serious commitment. So my response is this: “You go on to Heaven and get that mansion ready. I’ll be waiting here.”
Maintaining a long-distance relationship is so hard. Keeping that relationship close and intimate while one is in a completely different dimension? Well, it’s a good thing there are three people that make up my One God who is completely perfect, wonderfully mysterious, and beyond my understanding.
While I don’t feel I can say, as Paul did, “Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.” in 1 Cor. 11:1. I happily ask you to walk with me as I try my best to follow Christ.
